Sónia Trópicos, a producer and DJ, born on the day of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal and raised on the south bank of the Tagus River. With a creative exploration journey spanning various artistic fields, it was in 2021 that she began releasing her first productions and remixes, driven by her learning with the Beats By Girlz group. Her sound navigates contrasts of warm, sentimental electronic rhythms, synthesizers, and the use of creative sampling, with a particular focus on sounds from Lusophone countries. She has several remixes and two EPs, “Astral Anormal” and the most recent “Singela,” where she blends her rhythmic and melodic exploration of her influences with her melancholic sentimentality.
