Sara Machado (PT)

Sara Machado is a cultural manager currently leading the Culture and News Media strands at Creative Europe Desk PT, representing the EU’s flagship programme for the cultural and creative sectors in Portugal. She has developed a diverse career with various organisations across different countries, including Festival Escena Contemporánea and the Ministry of Culture in Spain, the European Cultural Foundation in the Netherlands, Pearle* Live Performance Europe in Belgium, Performing Arts Portugal, and EIRA / CUMPLICIDADES – Lisbon International Contemporary Dance Festival in Portugal. Sara has received numerous fellowships, including from the ISPA – International Society for the Performing Arts in the USA, Tandem Shaml in Germany, ASEF – Asia Europe Foundation “Mobility First” in Singapore, and the Producers Academy in Belgium. She holds a degree in Information Science from the University of Porto and completed a master’s degree in Cultural Management at Carlos III University of Madrid.
