With more 15 years of experience producing content about music, Rute Correia is a seasoned music expert. Most recently, she is part of the founding team at Playback. She worked in radio for many years as a host and producer, having collaborated with a dozen stations across Portugal, Spain and United Kingdom. For nearly five years, her voice could be heard across the airwaves of Oxigénio 102.6, Lisbon’s historical radio station for electronic music lovers. She has also worked for a major concert promoter, and written for multiple music-focused outlets in Portugal (including MIL Magazine, Rimas & Batidas, Jazz.Pt, Dance Club, among others). She founded and led Interruptor, Portugal’s first (and yet only) data-driven journalism outlet, with a heavy focus on music and cultural affairs. Last but not least, she was one of the kickstarters of the Wiki Loves Portuguese Music campaign, a project focused on improving content about Portuguese music on Wikipedia.
