Puja Patel is a journalist and music professional. She is the former Editor-in-Chief of Pitchfork, where she led the website’s editorial team, hosted The Pitchfork Review podcast, and oversaw the brand’s festivals and live events. Patel previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of SPIN, the culture editor of Deadspin, and a columnist for the Village Voice and MTV. Her writing has also appeared in Rolling Stone, VICE, and FADER among others. She serves on the advisory board of NYU’s Clive Davis Institute and is a founding board member of Building Beats, a non-profit organization that provides music education and developmental skills to underserved youth across New York City and Los Angeles. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
