Mauro Wah (PT)
Mauro Wah is the leader of the residents’ association Per 11 in Alta de Lisboa, where he carries out community support work, with a greater focus on guiding at-risk children and young people.
Born on 5th July 1979 in the city of Beira, Mozambique, he came to Portugal at the age of 4, where he went to live with his paternal grandmother, Maria Aurora Fernandes, in the Quinta da Pailepa neighbourhood, the former parish of Charneca, now Santa Clara, in Lisbon.
With the rehousing of neighbourhoods, Mauro and his family moved to the current Per 11 neighbourhood, where he still lives and develops his community projects, which he balances with his job at the airport and family life.
Passionate about sports and a community life enthusiast, Mauro seeks to engage the community in various recreational and educational activities and aims for the inclusion of all members of the community.
