Hugo Ferreira (PT)
Hugo Ferreira, 46, has built a diverse career in the music industry, despite never having played an instrument himself. He has worked as a radio host, manager, A&R, agent, festival promoter, and CFO of a vinyl pressing company. Starting in 1996 at Rádio Universidade de Coimbra, where he served as chair from 1998 to 2002, Hugo has promoted music shows and festivals and founded Omnichord, a cultural promoter and music label. He has managed internationally renowned acts such as Surma and First Breath After Coma, chaired AMAEI, and founded the music export office Why Portugal. Currently, he runs Omnichord, manages musical acts, educational projects, and festivals, teaches at ARDA Music Academy, and oversees Grama Pressing. He is also involved in Leiria’s UNESCO Creative City Council and advocates for artist development and inclusion, particularly for those with specific needs, such as the Omnichord act 5ª Punkada.
