Baddredine Haoutar has as many facets as talents. The circus man that he is, know in the urban arts worlds as Snoopy and through the company Colokolo, always had an other passion : music. And especiallu the tapes of the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. For his project Retro Cassetta the artist has collected over the years Moroccan, Algerian and Libyan tapes containing gems of North African music; from Chaâbu to raï through rap, rock or gnaoua music. Snoopy, a collector turned DJ, exhumes these tapes before they sink to oblivion, digitizes them and mixes them to give new life to this maghrebian audio heritage.
