Irmãs de Pau (BR)
A duo made up of Vita Pereira and Isma Almeida, both from the West Zone of São Paulo and researchers into the “Sound and Visual Aesthetics of Brazilian Whoring”. The artists move through multiple genres such as Funk, Drill, Vogue, Electronic and Pop, with Funk as the central link in their work. The duo began in 2020 with the album “Dotadas”, which has already accumulated more than 2 million streams on Spotify alone. Their most successful single is “Shambaralai”, which won awards, topped the charts (over 3 million combined) and has the most viewed music video of their career. They are also featured on Pabllo Vittar’s hit “Derretida Remix”. Irmãs de Pau have an immeasurable impact on funk culture and the arts. The artists are currently releasing their second studio album entitled “Gambiarra Chic”, which expresses a more mature moment in their career.
