Cristiana Vale Pires (PT)
Cristiana Vale Pires (she/her) is an intersectional feminist, anti-prohibitionist, and an ally of queer, anti-racist, and housing rights movements. She holds a degree in Psychology, a master’s, and a PhD in Anthropology, with postdoctoral experience and independent research in gender studies. She is a founding member of Kosmicare, where she collaborates as a psychologist and project manager. Cristiana also works as a researcher at the Centre for Research on Human Development (CEDH) and as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the Catholic University of Portugal (FEP-UCP). She has been active in the drug field since 2009, and in recent years, she has collaborated on research initiatives, consultancy, and the design of intervention responses that are diverse and tailored to the experiences of people who use drugs. She has also collaborated nationally and internationally with organisations in the nightlife and music festival sectors, implementing protocols and actions aimed at promoting harm reduction, gender mainstreaming, and care ethics.
