Marta Silva (PT)

Marta Silva, born in Porto in 1978, graduated in Dance and Educational Sciences, has always worked in the cultural field as a dancer, teacher, and producer with various audiences and institutions, in different social contexts. In 2014, she moved to Lisbon. Over the last fifteen years, she has deepened her work as a cultural manager, focusing more on social intervention and local development. In 2012, she founded and became President of the cultural and social solidarity cooperative LARGO Residências, based in Arroios (Lisbon). The cooperative’s work has been recognized by numerous national and European working groups in the fields of Culture, Social Inclusion, and Local Development. In 2021, the cooperative received the Cultural Access Award in the field of social access and a vote of praise from the Lisbon City Council in 2023. She has served as a jury member in various competitions, notably those of the Directorate-General for the Arts / Ministry of Culture, such as Street Arts and Contemporary Dance (2017/2018) and Arts Without Limits – Partnership Projects (2020). In 2021, she was elected by the representative assembly of the Associação Mutualista Montepio Geral. She received the Natércia Campos Award 2023 as Best Cultural Producer, awarded by the Academy of Cultural Producers.
