Gabriela Salhe
Ecuadorian architect, co-founder of the architecture studio Frame Colectivo (FC), based in Lisbon. Gabriela lived, studied, and worked in Berlin for 13 years, collaborating and learning from renowned architects such as Lacaton Vassal, Francis Kéré, and Anupama Kundoo, developing extensive experience in interdisciplinary participatory urban planning and expanded architecture, with a focus on social innovation and design/build projects. Her work has been awarded several national and international grants and residencies. Alongside FC, she has developed artistic projects, adopting a critical stance on the urban environment, implementing site-specific, formally disruptive, and socially engaged projects. Gabriela has extensive experience in artistic projects, from conception to execution, in areas such as theater, dance, exhibitions, cinema, public space installations, and participatory urban design, receiving awards from events such as the Lisbon Triennale, Gothenburg Triennale, European Capital of Culture in Luxembourg, and Lisbon’s participatory budget.
