Rachel Reis (BR)
Rachel Reis’ voice, songwriting and infectious swing have been conquering Brazil since she presented her first singles (“Ventilador” 2020, “Sossego” 2020). With her first EP, “Encosta”, the singer-songwriter from the north-east of Brazil has already captivated many hearts, especially with her big hit, “Maresia”. The track – produced by Cuper and Zamba and featuring Fredinho O Louco – has been one of the most played songs in Bahia for two consecutive summers. His first full-length album, “Meu Esquema”, produced by Barro and Guilherme Assis, also generated a lot of repercussions on the Brazilian music scene, mainly for its unique way of talking about love and everyday life, and for the exquisiteness of its visual arts. The work has just been honoured with a Latin Grammy nomination in the “Rock or Alternative Music Album in Portuguese” category. Already part of the line-up at the main music festivals, Rachel has taken the show from her debut album all over the country. “Meu Esquema” appeared on all the “Best of the Year” lists, but before that, the artist had already been nominated for “Best Breakthrough Artist” at the Multishow 2022 Awards and the WME Awards. In 2023, her songs became even more present on the popular scene by composing soundtracks for soap operas and TV series. In the same year, Reis won the “Best Breakthrough Artist” category of one of Brazil’s biggest art awards, the APCA Prize.
