Margarida Mata (PT)
Margarida Mata (Setúbal, 1987). She has a degree in Sculpture and a master’s degree in Museology and Museography from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. Between 2009 and 2018, she collaborated with several museums: MUDE – Museu do Design e da Moda, Museu das Comunicações, Museu do Chiado and Centro de Arte Manuel de Brito. Between 2014 and 2019 she was responsible for public and community relations at Teatro O Bando, where she also began working in the production area. She collaborated with FIAR- International Street Arts Festival in the areas of production and communication (2018-2020). She was part of the Gerador team (2019-2022), an action and research platform on culture, in the area of production and programming. She is a co-founder of FOmE (2018), where she is responsible for project management and programming. Since 2022, she has worked as curatorial assistant and program coordinator for the Iminente Festival, taking on the role of Curator of the Cultural Affairs Group – Vhils Studio, Underdogs Gallery, Iminente Festival and Ephemeral Ethernal – in 2024. She continues to work in the field of cultural mediation, with a focus on working with young people (Sub21 project for the BoCA biennial 2021 and Influencers of Culture – A Gráfica Setúbal since 2023).
