PODCAST MIL: A Talk with Arlen Dilsizian (Nyege Nyege)

Nyege Nyege is a cultural incubator based in Kampala, Uganda, which includes a festival, artist residencies and community studios, as well as two record labels: Nyege Nyege Tapes and Hakuna Kulala. Arlen Dilsizian, co-founder of the Nyege Nyege label, joins the MIL community for a live interview, where he will share the political mission of the festival and the label of the same name. This conversation promises to highlight the uniqueness of Nyege Nyege on the current international scene, as an innovative project in the promotion and dissemination of alternative and contemporary African music, as well as sounds from various latitudes that are under-represented in the music industry, particularly in electronic music.
