Caamaño&Ameixeiras are one of the great revelations within the new Galician traditional music. Resignifying Galician roots music and dance with the most contemporary sounds, the duo is one of the most outstanding names on the Galician scene. Their intimate and profound treatment of Galician popular tradition is leading Sabela Caamaño and Antía Ameixeiras to stand out on the national and international scene. With an impressive, careful and daring staging, they have already played numerous big gigs beyond our borders, taking their live shows to countries such as Italy, Belgium, France, Portugal, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria. In addition, their songs have already accumulated hundreds of thousands of listens on digital platforms and their albums have sold thousands of copies. The Galician artists inspired their work in the popular universe, creating an atmosphere where reality, magic and religion converge. In the last years of their career, their music changed from joyful sounds and that collaborative character to a darker and more intimate aspect, reaching a success that led them to win a Martín Códax Music Award in the Folk category, as well as playing in important festivals such as Interceltique de Lorient, Festival de Ortigueira, Festival Tradicionàrius de Barcelona, Revenidas or Osa do Mar.
