Description:
Understanding the difference between cultural democracy and cultural democratization is crucial for the creation of sound, inclusive and participatory cultural policies. This workshop aims to clarify these designations and practices, which continue to be misinterpreted and used in confusing ways in public narratives. Recognizing the distinctions between the two approaches is essential in order to develop strategies that, going beyond access to culture, effectively promote cultural and artistic participation, cultural citizenship and the construction of an equitable and diverse cultural environment.

Objectives:
To develop a clear understanding of the differences between democracy and cultural democratization, and to apply this knowledge to create more effective and inclusive cultural policies and practices.
