TIPS FOR PUTTING YOUR MUSIC ON PLAYLISTS

Friday, 27 September12h30 - 13h30Sala das Bailarinas OFICINA / WORKSHOP

In this workshop, we’ll discuss best practices for playlist curators and artists in 2024, focusing on three key pillars for success: the lead time for registering songs, the importance of release information and the frequency of releases.

  • Time to Register Songs in Advance:
Objective: To enable artists and curators to understand the importance of registering their music on streaming platforms in advance, increasing the chances of inclusion in editorial and algorithmic playlists. We will analyze ideal deadlines, such as a minimum of three weeks in advance, and how this impacts marketing and promotion strategies.
  • Importance of Release Information:
Objective: To highlight the importance of providing complete and relevant information for launches, including genre details, inspirations and data on the production team. This information is crucial for curators and algorithms to better identify the context of the music, increasing the likelihood of engagement and playlist placement.
  • Release Frequency:
Objective: To explore how the regularity of new music releases can positively influence the building of an engaged fan base and the maintenance of a constant flow of inclusion in playlists. We will address strategies for determining the ideal release cadence in order to maintain market relevance and optimize playlist presence.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clear and practical vision of how to plan and execute effective strategies to maximize the impact of their music on playlists, in line with the trends and best practices of 2024.
