Isabel Novais is graduated in Musical Sciences and Doctor in Historical Musical Sciences by Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is currently investigator member of CESEM, having published several articles on theatre, theatrical music and 19th century operetta. She was the author of radio musical programmes and she has collaborated with musical support in theatre and cinema productions. She is currently a musicologist at Lisboa City Hall, where she works in Fonoteca Service at Lisbon Network Libraries, conceiving cultural programmes and engaging in musical activities.
