Philip is a barrister specialising in licensing. His practice includes nightclubs, pubs, festivals, gambling venues, sex establishments, sports venues and transportation. He led the legal team for Fabric Nightclub to recover its licence after drug-related deaths at the venue. He is the Patron of the Institute of Licensing and a past Chair of the Institute, Purple Flag, Best Bar None and the Mayor of London’s Night Time Commission. He is the author of several books on the leisure economy.
