
VICENTE NAVARRO (ES)
Vicente Navarro is a musician and actor from Madrid with Castilla – La Mancha roots, whose music moves between Spanish and Latin American folklore , and urban and electronic music. In 2019 he released his first album ‘Casi Tierra’ , which had a great impact with songs like ‘En el río’, ‘Esternón’ or ‘Un llanto ’. His live performance was selected as recommended show by Redescena . After publishing two collaborations in 2022 ( ‘Marchar’ with Rodrigo Cuevas and ‘La Juventud’ with Karmento ), Vicente Navarro publishes ‘Las manos’ , his second album, with the one he consolidates himself as one of the main referents of nowadays neofolk. This latest work has been very well received by the audience and critics , becoming recognized as one of the albums of the year by media such as MondoSonoro or Jenesaispop. Vicente Navarro has received four nominations at the 2023 Independent Music Awards , highlighting ‘Best Emerging Artist’ and ‘Best Root Music Album’. In ‘Las manos’ , Vicente Navarro continues a line of work where he updates and strengthens Spanish folklore (and its outside influences) in a moment where the development of traditional music’s new forms are in a special interest. In this album , produced by Damian Schwartz, the artist intends to open a channel of reflection about encounter and loss , as well as to express the different ways to colive with those emotions.
