Member of The Kiki House of Bodega, Mário Filipe (he/him), a.k.a. Kimua, is a creative, performer and model who is most known for his thrilling performances on stages all over Lisbon and on the ballroom floor, being one of the most recognisable faces of the Portuguese Ballroom Scene. Raised between Linha de Sintra and Luanda, Kimua takes pride in showcasing his Angolan heritage alongside his queer identity, both being fundamental parts of his existence. As a Black African Queer individual, Kimua is vocal about the necessity in creating Black Queer spaces and uplifting and celebrating Black Queer existence, working closely with a range of collectives that aim to achieve such a goal.
