Marie Fol is an independent advisor, researcher and cultural manager. An advocate for international cultural collaboration, Marie is involved in many initiatives supporting the mobility of artists and culture professionals facing obstacles to their mobility. She is an expert for the European Commission and the Institut français. Since 2019, Marie works as Project Manager and Development Lead for Keychange, a global network and movement working towards gender equality in the music industry. In this role, Marie coordinates activities in Europe and Canada, as well as develops new partnerships on global scale. Marie is the President of On the Move, the international network dedicated to cultural mobility, and regularly contributes to its research activities. Recently, Marie co-authored two publications on the funding needs for cultural mobility (i-Portunus Operational Study, 2019, and Mapping Study and Report on mobility and collaboration funding for NDPC and EUNIC, 2021) and wrote a research paper on virtualisation in contemporary dance (EDN, 2021). In 2022, Marie is one of two conference Samurais at WOMEX, shaping the conversations on music worldwide.
