Linn da Quebrada (BR)
It was in music that the Brazilian multimedia artist Linn da Quebrada emerged in 2016, with her first track released “Enviadescer”. Since then, a singer and songwriter has developed her musical creative process in different stages, exploring her body through words, creating sound and making noise. The first album, Pajubá (2017), its own language, catapulting an artist to different stages in Brazil and around the world. Under the musical direction of the DJ and Brazilian producer BADSISTA, Pajubá evoked a sound aesthetic of classification, yet powerful in its practical effects: music made for thinking and dancing. A partnership between the two now follows for a new album, Trava Linguas, the second in Linn da Quebrada’s career. Scheduled for release in 2021, in this new work Linn da Quebrada breaks with the timbres reproduced until then, renewing them based on new references and experiments. All this in the continuous search for other sound frequencies, in the uses of the word and also in its artistic identity.
