Lewis is the founder of Mais Um, an independent label that releases contemporary underground music from South America, Asia and Africa and was named one of the UK’s ‘best boutique labels’ by The Guardian. Mais Um has introduced artists such as Minyo Crusaders (Japan), Lucas Santtana (Brazil), Howie Lee (China) and Linda Ayupuka (Ghana) to audiences worldwide via album releases, concerts and appearances at festivals such as Roskilde, LeGuessWho and Glastonbury. The compilation albums Lewis has curated have been described as ‘miraculous’ (LA Times) + ‘astonishingly diverse’ (The Independent).
