Gonçalo Frota writes about music and performing arts for the newspaper Público and is also a contributor to the English magazine Songlines, dedicated to world music. He is the author of the liner notes for the complete reissue of José Afonso’s work by the Orfeu publishing house and is a co-author of the book “Festa do Jazz” (Jazz Party). He has contributed to books about the Pogo Theater collective and the International Festival of Puppets and Animated Forms (FIMFA). He has twice received the Carlos Porto International Journalism Grand Prize, in 2016 and 2022.
