Di Candido aka DIDI, afroqueer body in transit through Brazil, UK and Portugal, who works, persists and resists through research at The Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA) – ISCTE, cultural production and performance as a DJ, singer and visual/multidisciplinary artist. Founder of the creative unit in the form of party “Bee.” – The United Kingdom of Beeshas (bee_lx) at Damas in Lisbon – PT in connection with collectives, artists and makers around the whole black queer diaspora in academic/cultural projects and creative industry, in production and direct action with Afroeuropeans, Afropunk, BATEKOO,KunstenFestivaldesarts, PT VOGUE CHAPTER, Afrontosas, Pumpdabeat, BlackPride Uk, among others. Their work deals with themes related to collective (re) territorialization, identities, activism and anti-racist performance, in the cultural and artistic production of queer, black and immigrant artists in diaspora.
