Alicia Ruiz Muñoz (Coslada, 1991) is a cultural manager and graphic designer with a strong interest in collaborative, situated cultural practices. She was programmer and one of the two responsible of the local culture project Mirador Usera at Intermediæ Matadero, in collaboration with Madrid City Council, and has worked with numerous formal and informal citizen associations, collectives, and arts institutions, including consonni and INJUVE. She is currently part of the Concomitentes coordination team, a non-profit association founded in June 2018 to promote the creation of artworks that engage with their social context. Concomitentes invites civil society groups to become the citizen-commissioners or “Comitentes” of an artwork, and then accompanies them through the ensuing process of negotiation.
