MIL Opening Party: The Legendary Tigerman at Musicbox

Today we kick off MIL, with the Convention program taking place throughout the day at Hub Criativo do Beato. In the evening, all attention will be on Musicbox, with a concert by The Legendary Tigerman.

The musician is the sole attraction of the festival’s opening party, presenting ‘ZEITGEIST,’ his first full-length album since 2018, set to be released this Friday, the 29th.

In this new album, guitars take a back seat as inspiration comes from the modular synthesizers that Paulo Furtado had in his home studio. Somewhere between dance music and punk, between raw and carnal, between ethereal and grand orchestrations, the result is songs made for small, dark clubs where anything can happen. On stage, The Legendary Tigerman is accompanied by Filipe Rocha on bass and keys, João Cabrita on saxophone and keys, and Mike Ghost on drums.

MIL continues on the 28th and 29th, featuring an artistic program with over 50 emerging artists from around the world. Julia Mestre, Papillon, Ana Lua Caiano, Glockenwise, Libra, and Getúlio Abelha are some of the artists set to perform across the seven rooms at Cais do Sodré, where the festival takes place.
