MALVA VELA Malva Vela beats with her name in five universes: music, acting, literature, video and art. In 2022 she releases her first EP ‘Rúbrica X’, in which she celebrates the lives of iconic women in the art world through five stories: Malva Marina, daughter of Pablo Neruda; Ofelia, fictional character from Shakespeare’s play Hamlet ́; Helen Keller, writer and deafblind activist; Frida Kahlo, painter and Chavela Vargas, singer. Her debut track, ‘Malva Marina’, with Lin Cortés, has accumulated close to 2M plays on streaming platforms. Together with Luis Deltell, Malva creates mestizo universes from which her songs are born, experimenting with styles ranging from flamenco to bossa nova, passing through bolero, r&b and reggae. Malva does not pigeonhole herself and in the union of her influences she has managed to create her own style, keeping her audiences waiting for the next artistic surprise. In a plea to the roots and the authenticity from an honest rebelliousness, Malva launches her message of nonconformity to a current world.
