After three years of creating buzz, between studio work and the construction of one of the most talked live shows in the city, Reis da República finally presented their debut album Fábulas, an album that “surpasses what was already expected of the group” (Visão Magazine). Fábulas, a 24-minute epic work that’s actually a long song cut out in some parts, crosses the progressive vein of bands like Genesis or Gentle Giant with the psychedelic innocence of Syd Barrett’s work.
All this culminates in a simple story, telling the experience of living gardening through the eyes of a mouse named Sidónio: “We wanted to tell a story that was not a lesson or a memory of someone we knew. That could be just a good story about being a mouse, about making yourself a choice, and especially about liking gardening. “
