Hetta is a four piece band made up of Alex Domingos, João Pires, João Portalegre and Simão Simões from Montijo, Portugal. Their music is fast and chaotic, reminiscent of the sounds of mathcore, screamo and noise, wrapping them up in a post-hardcore that nods to the 90’s and 00’s, while also paving a way to the future. In their debut EP, Headlights, recorded by Leonardo Bindilatti and Miguel Abras and released in 2022, the usual suspects are present: oppressive and saturated screams, hyperactive drums and incisive guitars. The wall of sound, both in Headlights and in the band’s live performances, is the brief burst of energy in which the longing for breath is a promise fulfilled, and the desire is to do much more each time.
