comforter2 is a new project by Tammo Hesselink and Ricky Cherim (Meetsysteem) and M4ry, and on stage they are joined by Fokke de Wit (bass) and Sjoerd Bartlema (drums).
tammo hesselink is a DJ / Producer / Machine Learning engineer based in Amsterdam who has been pushing the boundaries of techno in The Netherlands for the past 10 years. With sets ranging from 0 to 200 bpm and releases on labels like Delsin, Nous’klaer Audio and Blank Mind, Hesselink has shown to connect influences from the full dance music spectrum, including techno, dubstep, house, reggae and ambient.
meetsysteem is the pseudonym for Amsterdam based singer/ songwriter Ricky Cherim who emerged out of nowhere on to the Dutch popscene with his lauded debut album “Geen Signaal” on Nous’klaer Audio in 2019. He has since then built a reputation as being an eclectic musical artist, that doesn’t shy away from showing his most vulnerable, raw side or from branching out into new territory, collaborating with Victor De Roo, Rayfuego, Gotu Jim, Speedy J or poets like Gijsje Heemskerk and Pelumi Adejumo.
m4ry calls herself an ‘allround hobbyhuman’, and as a website developer, graphic designer, Stranded FM resident, and probably even more, that seems like a perfectly appropriate title. Behind the decks she’s just as multidimensional, which she showcased during her sets for Garage Noord during Dekmantel Selectors. There’s really no genre Mary is afraid to play, and as a next level digital whiz, she must find her striking musical picks in the hidden corners of the web.
