Amaia Miranda (ES)
Born in Bilbao (Basque Country, 1993), Amaia Miranda is a young guitarist and composer with a deep bond with her instrument because she played it since she was a little girl. From this intimacy with her guitar, she creates and sings her songs with simple lyrics that transport the listener to a universe of calm, beauty and sensitivity.
‘Cuando se nos mueren los amores’ is her debut album and it vindicates the strength of the song without further ornamentation and the beauty of what is real and imperfect. 11 lo-fi songs recorded at home, live and without cuts, using from ribbon microphones to the mobile phone recorder. A warm and careful album that transports the listener to a space of intimacy and closeness with the artist that is almost tangible.
